We are currently looking to hire a Facilities and Fleet Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees building and grounds maintenance for multiple locations
- Performs routine maintenance on facilities and equipment, making repairs as needed
- Ensures proper security measures for the workplace, including collaboration with security system vendors as needed
- Ensures the facility is clean and maintained
- Reviews and manages service contracts
- Records and conducts regular facilities inspections
- Prepares facilities for changing weather conditions
- Manages and supervises all facility personnel and external contractors
- Reviews completed work by vendors and contractors to ensure the highest level of finished work
- Advises on maintenance, mechanical, electrical, equipment and facility design modifications
- Purchases fleet vehicles
- Schedules regular preventative equipment and fleet vehicle maintenance
- Coordinates with in-house staff and third-party vendors to schedule equipment and fleet vehicle repairs
- Tracks usage and maintenance of equipment and fleet vehicles
- Maximizes efficiency and minimizes the cost of our fleet operations
- Prepares cost estimates for facility and fleet purchases and/or projects
- Monitors inventory and determines what products are needed
- Develops purchasing strategies to ensure consistent inventory
- Researches a variety of vendors to source high-quality, cost-effective products
- Determines quantity and timing of deliveries
- Negotiates vendor contracts
- Performs other related duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a facilities manager or related position
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations, facilities management best practices and fleet management
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management, organization and prioritization abilities
- Strong project management skills
- Solid analytical/critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work that is on time and within budget
- Excellent attention to detail
- Mentality of a team player who can assist others when needed to accomplish team goals
- Determined to put in the time and effort necessary to see projects through to successful completion
- Proficient in MS Office programs
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree an advantage
- 5-10 years of work experience required
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CFM) will be an advantage
