We are currently looking to hire a Facilities and Fleet Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees building and grounds maintenance for multiple locations
  • Performs routine maintenance on facilities and equipment, making repairs as needed
  • Ensures proper security measures for the workplace, including collaboration with security system vendors as needed
  • Ensures the facility is clean and maintained
  • Reviews and manages service contracts
  • Records and conducts regular facilities inspections
  • Prepares facilities for changing weather conditions
  • Manages and supervises all facility personnel and external contractors
  • Reviews completed work by vendors and contractors to ensure the highest level of finished work
  • Advises on maintenance, mechanical, electrical, equipment and facility design modifications
  • Purchases fleet vehicles
  • Schedules regular preventative equipment and fleet vehicle maintenance
  • Coordinates with in-house staff and third-party vendors to schedule equipment and fleet vehicle repairs
  • Tracks usage and maintenance of equipment and fleet vehicles
  • Maximizes efficiency and minimizes the cost of our fleet operations
  • Prepares cost estimates for facility and fleet purchases and/or projects
  • Monitors inventory and determines what products are needed
  • Develops purchasing strategies to ensure consistent inventory
  • Researches a variety of vendors to source high-quality, cost-effective products
  • Determines quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Negotiates vendor contracts
  • Performs other related duties as required

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a facilities manager or related position
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations, facilities management best practices and fleet management
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional time management, organization and prioritization abilities
  • Strong project management skills
  • Solid analytical/critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work that is on time and within budget
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Mentality of a team player who can assist others when needed to accomplish team goals
  • Determined to put in the time and effort necessary to see projects through to successful completion
  • Proficient in MS Office programs
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and lift up to 50 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree an advantage
  • 5-10 years of work experience required
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CFM) will be an advantage
