Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate custom stone elements including countertops, vanities, fireplace surrounds, and architectural pieces.
- Interpret shop drawings, templates, and specifications with high precision and attention to detail.
- Shape, finish, and polish stone using hand tools, grinders, routers, and other manual equipment.
- Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects, ensuring alignment with project quality standards.
- Collaborate with other fabricators, drafters, and project managers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company protocols.
- Assist in loading/unloading materials and staging projects for installation when needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in architectural or dimensional stone fabrication.
- Proficient with hand tools and traditional fabrication techniques (no CNC experience required).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural/shop drawings accurately.
- Keen eye for detail, spatial awareness, and craftsmanship.
- Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering heavy stone materials.
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Preferred:
- Experience with a variety of natural stones (granite, marble, limestone, etc.).
- Familiarity with templating methods and on-site installation support (a plus, not required).
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented shop environment.
