Job Descriptions – Facilities Maintenance

Job Description:

-Upkeep of yard including lawn care, snow removal, tree pruning, and yard maintenance
-Ability to perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks such as fluid changes, greasing, part repairs, cleaning, etc.
-Operation of fork truck to load pallets on and off flatbed trucks, pick-up trucks, customer vehicles and box trucks
-Verify all loads leaving the facility are inventoried and signed for
-The ability to follow directions and follow through with attention to detail
-Perform minor maintenance and building repairs
-General knowledge of and experience with maintenance tools and materials
-Transport material from Main Yard to Warehouse/Job Sites as needed
-Inventory, organize, and stock Fuel Shed with mixed gas, regular gas, propane bottles, K1, and diesel
-Monitor wood and metal scrap bins, disposed of scrap as needed
-Perform duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

Qualifications:

-2-3 years of maintenance experience
-Fork truck certification preferred experience preferred
-Experience in stone fabrication industry
-General and practical knowledge of measuring tools, power tools, and equipment utilized in the stone industry
-Willingness to adapt to and accept constructive feedback and implement necessary corrections in a timely manner
-Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. eye glasses, noise-reducing equipment, waterproof gear, steel toe shoes, and a respirator)
-Ability to push, pull, and carry materials 50-100 lbs. and prolonged standing
-Able to provide and encourage positive attitude of cooperation and collaboration with management and other team members
-Flexibility and willingness to assume new duties/responsibilities as necessary to respond to project/production needs
-Must be willing to travel which could include overnight stays
-Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
-High School diploma or GED required
