Granite Fireplaces & Stone Chimneys

We fabricate extraordinary granite fireplaces  using a wide variety of natural stone, primarily Maine granite. Our projects range from a simple single granite fireplace or stone fireplace to immense natural stone structures. Most of our stonework is built in one of our two stonemasonry construction shops. It is then disassembled, trucked to the site, and reassembled, using one of our fleet of 4 boom trucks. Our shops are well- equipped to allow us to work on any size stone and any size project. Contact Freshwater Stone for complete details on all types of stonework available.

"Jeff Gammelin designed and constructed a monumental stone fireplace my family and I so enjoy in our home in Maine. He is a master craftsman, and an artist, whose medium is natural stone.  One would be hard put to find a more talented one."
