Stonework, Natural Stone & Stone Masonry

Jeff and Candy Gammelin started Freshwater Stone in 1976 after constructing their own home out of local natural fieldstone. Today, the stonework company has grown to employ 50 people year round. The stone masonry facilities cover 22,000 square feet located on 20 acres in Orland, Maine.  Our natural stone and stone masonry can be found across the world in fireplaces, chimneys, kitchens & vanities, stonework landscaping, architectural stonework,  monuments, columns, towers, and more.         

Our state-of-the art natural stone work shops house construction, fabrication, architectural and sculptural divisions. The complementary nature of these departments gives us the unique ability to create virtually anything in stone.
