Welcome to Freshwater Stone, Inc.

Jeff and Candy Gammelin started Freshwater Stone in 1976 after constructing their own home out of
local fieldstone. Today, the company has grown to employ 45 people year round. Our facilities cover
18,000 square feet located on 20 acres in Orland, Maine. In addition, Freshwater Stone owns and
operates a granite quarry just 10 miles away from the shop in Frankfort, Maine. Our signature granite,
Freshwater Pearl™ comes from that quarry.
